Collectable set of the first trade edition (preceded by a limited Franklin Library leather bound first edition) and the uncorrected proof. The book is in as new condition. Inscribed by updike on the title page, "John Updike 9/18/97 Phila, PA". Even though it doesn't state specifically this is to Albert J Raman, noted bibliophile and Updike collector, who lived in Phily. The book was acquired along with a large selection of Albert's personal Updike collection. The dust jacket is also as new, now in a protective archival cover. Along with the uncorrected proof in blue paper covers, also with archival protection. Proof is also in as new condition, unread.
