We welcome all inquiries, requests, and specific item searches. Feel free to contact us.
Additional images or detailed descriptions of any item are available upon request. All items are guaranteed as described.
Ownership of all items remains with Rare Collections until full payment has been received.

All Final prices at checkout are displayed in US Dollars (USD), but the final charge will be processed in the customer’s local currency based on the applicable exchange rate.
Shipping and delivery dates are estimates and cannot be guaranteed. Rare Collections is not responsible for delays beyond our control.

Returns & Refunds

We take great care to provide accurate descriptions and high-quality images to help you make an informed purchase. However, if you are not satisfied with your item, our return policy is as follows:

Returns are accepted within 30 days of receipt.
If we made an error in the listing or description, we will cover return shipping costs.
If you simply change your mind, you may return the item at your own expense, provided it is in the same condition as received.
Any damage or wear may result in a deduction from the refund amount.
Refunds are limited to the original purchase price, processed in US Dollars (USD), with any exchange rate differences being the customer's responsibility.

Taxes & Duties

All prices listed on our platforms are exclusive of VAT.
South African customers: A standard 15% VAT will be added at checkout.
International customers: Our prices are already VAT-exempt. However, any import duties, taxes, or VAT applied by your country upon arrival are your responsibility and are not included in our pricing.
Final charges will be processed in your local currency at the prevailing exchange rate.

Shipping & Delivery

Physical Address Requirement

We use tracked courier services to ensure the security and reliability of deliveries.
A physical address is required; we cannot ship to P.O. Boxes

Expedited Shipping

Delivery is typically 4–10 days, depending on the destination.
We exclusively use tracked couriers for all shipments.

Shipping Insurance

Insurance is not automatically included but can be added at 1% of the shipment value.

Shipping Weight & Costs

Our standard shipping rates apply to books weighing up to 1kg (2.2lbs).
Larger or heavier items may incur additional shipping fees, which will be communicated prior to dispatch.

Economy Shipping (USA Only)

Available for orders under $800.
We offer a consolidated tracked shipping service to reduce costs.
Shipments are picked up every Tuesday and fly out the following week. Due to this schedule, delivery times can be up to 20 days.

Local Shipping (South Africa)

All local orders are shipped via The Courier Guy, with full tracking provided.

A Note on USA Tariffs
Books and prints are exempt from the 2025 US tariff measures (printed and informational materials are protected under IEEPA exemptions.) Orders to the United States continue to be unaffected, and we are couriering as normal. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.

Packaging & Protection

We take great care to ensure that your items arrive in perfect condition. Our packaging process includes:

Colompac boxes imported from Europe for international shipments.
Books are placed in ziplock bags for additional protection. This is particularly useful in regions where parcels may be left exposed to rain or snow.
All books are bubble-wrapped before being secured in Colompac boxes for added protection.
