A very good DJ, some light browning to spine some chipping with small section missing from top of spine. Clipped DJ. Original purchase invoice dated 5/6/92 from The Chaucer Bookshop laid in, within a protective acid free sleeve. Autobiography by John Betjeman written in blank verse, it describes his life from his earliest memories up to his premature departure from Magdalen College, Oxford. Published in 1960, Betjeman read the book chapter by chapter in a series of radio broadcast on the Third Programme of the BBC. There was also a BBC film version directed by Jonathan Stedall in 1976.
