London: Black and Parry, 1815. Xvi+map+582pp. Mendelssohn lists a 3rd edition, corrected and published in 1815 this is the earlier, 1st edition. Bookplate of Maurice Green to front paste down. Frontispiece portrait, 8 plates and a fold out map as called for. Titles in gilt to label in compartment to spine. 5 Raised bands to spine. Some rubbing to the edges of the boards and the marbled paper of the boards themselves. Chips to head of spine, leather torn about 1.5cm from head at lower board. Light spotting to endmatter - title page and frontispiece age toned. Other than these small blemishes this is a very good and most desirable copy of Campbell's 'Travels'.
