Five Prose Pieces
Cummington Press, 1947. A scarce copy of the Cummington Press edition of Rilke prose pieces. Four of the pieces initially appeared as "Primal Sound & Other Prose Pieces" in 1943, illustrated by Paul Wieghardt. This current volume includes an additional piece "An Experience" appearing for the first time. The volume is illustrated with woodcuts by Wightman Williams. This is copy #59 of 203 printed on Van Gelder Oxhead paper out of an edition of 271 copies. A VG copy, the leather spine degraded (as often seen with this edition) with the title section laid into the front in a acid free sleeve. Internally the book is just about fine. Item #30072
