Amedeo Clemente Modigliani was an Italian painter and sculptor of the École de Paris who worked mainly in France. He is known for portraits and nudes in a modern style characterised by a surreal elongation of faces, necks, and figures — works that were not received well during his lifetime, but later became much sought after. Günter Hujber (born 1966) is a Czech graphic artist celebrated for his mastery of traditional printmaking techniques and his significant contributions to the world of Ex-Libris (bookplates). Hujber predominantly works with intaglio methods such as etching (C2), Drypoint (C4) and mezzotint (C7), creating atmospheric works that often explore themes of mythology, history, and the human figure. Known for including elements of dreams and symbolism in his work, in particular his nudes. Item #31749
