Typhon was a monstrous giant in Greek mythology, the "Father of All Monsters," born of Gaia (Earth) and Tartarus, who attempted to overthrow Zeus to become ruler of the cosmos, personifying destructive storms and volcanoes. Juri Jakovenko (born 1965) is a renowned Belarusian graphic artist and engraver, internationally recognized for his technical printmaking and his fantastical, surreal imagery. Based in Grodno, Belarus, Jakovenko has established himself as a master of the etching needle, creating dense, narrative-rich compositions that often blend medieval aesthetics with modern surrealism. His work is highly prized by collectors of fine prints and Ex-Libris (bookplates) for its incredible attention to detail, mythical storytelling, and atmospheric depth. Item #31820
