1801. This plate is from the Dutch edition of Georges-Louis Leclerc, Comte de Buffon's monumental work, Histoire Naturelle, engraved by Abraham Hulk after earlier plates. The "Tom. VII" at the top left indicates it belongs to Volume 7 of the Dutch translation, De Natuurlyke Historie (Printed in Amsterdam by Johannes Allart).
