J. Nigon, 1863 - 1871. Print from Pomologie de la France ou histoire et description de tous les fruits (1863–1871), a seminal 8-volume botanical work by the Société Impériale d'Horticulture pratique du Rhône. It included 382 engraved, often tinted plates include 173 pears, 68 apples, 31 peaches, 30 plums, 28 cherries, 12 apricots, and others like grapes and raspberries.
